Examples of various screens from the EatLove appHere at Attune2Food, we strive to offer you an experience that allows for optimal growth and support to maximize your ability to make changes in ways that truly nourish your children and family. We know from experience how difficult it can be to feed a family, on a budget.

This is why we offer access to EatLove Meal Planning app and interaction time with us through this game-changing platform. As pediatric and family dietitians, we love this app because it is a highly adaptive and customizable tool for meal planning and includes grocery shopping lists and delivery service options for busy families. We can modify specific recipes for you, add custom recipes or create go-to easy meals to keep in the pantry for busy days. It also has a wonderful database for food record analysis and reporting, all via the app. It’s a great way to connect with your dietitian’s recommendations outside the visit and continue the conversation via actual day-to-day food and meal choices. You can ‘record’ meals and snacks as much as you like, it may be for a few days only and is completely optional.

Other cool features that can help you with food and meals as a busy parent:

  • It helps organize, prep, and produce the meals if you decide to make a recipe. It organizes your family schedule so you prep ingredients once and use them multiple times. You can opt-in on a ‘prep day’ on the weekend to get set up for the week ahead.
  • Every meal plan produces its own grocery list, which can be edited to check off the ingredients you already have at home. Families save an average of 2 ½ hours per week (!) by using EatLove’s service to plan weekly meals and shop efficiently.
  • EatLove can plan meals without dietary restraints for the most complex lifestyles and food avoidances. Dietary considerations ranging from low salt, IBS-friendly, vegetarian to gluten-free, are all possible and each can be specified with foods to avoid, including potential allergens such as dairy or tree nuts, food groups, or taste preferences. This is huge for families with food sensitivities or allergies, cultural foodways, and kids with eating differences.
  • EatLove automatically adjusts for food waste. That means if you use the app to curate other ideas or options that fit your family’s food plan, it will recommend choices to you that include ingredients you might use in other recipes during that week. For example, if you planned a recipe that included a few teaspoons of chopped green onion, the system may recommend another recipe with green onion to help you get the most out of the ingredient.

The other great thing about working on EatLove together is using an app designed to support health equity and inclusion. This is how EatLove helps:

  • The dietitian can identify health issues and food security concerns and can customize your experience with these in mind. For example, simple recipes and low or no-cook times can be checked to filter all meal and snack choices through this preference. Batch cooking or planning to freeze leftovers can be customized easily. For example, you can make a big batch of staple food and eat leftovers for a few days to maximize the food budget and prep work.
  • Culturally affirming cuisine can be easily customized via the provider portal when the dietitian initially sets things up, and clients can further customize or change as desired.
  • To ensure transparency in grocery pricing, EatLove estimates the cost per person per serving before items are added to the grocery cart. EBT and other grocery benefits such as online delivery are available to reduce transportation and physical ability challenges.
  • EatLove features a comprehensive food bank finder and resources for WIC (Women, Infants, and Children), allowing clients to receive benefits at locations near their homes.

We would love to work with you to improve your budget, time and health around meal planning and grocery shopping. Simplifying this area of your life can be so motivating and freeing. Book a dietitian consult or sign up for our Attune2Food program or membership for families.
